Cold room and freezing room
A cold room can be purchased with or without a floor. A cold room with a floor provides better insulation, however, depending on the insulation in the floor at the installation site. However, most cold rooms are delivered without a floor, because it enables entry and exit of pallets, trolleys, trolleys, etc. If you choose a cold room with a floor, it is also possible to buy a ramp, so it is still possible to drive in and out of the room. Alternatively, the cold room can be built into the foundation.
When looking at cold storage, it is also relevant to talk insulation thickness. Today, most rooms are sold with 70 mm, 80 mm and a few with 100 mm insulation. With the electricity prices we have in Denmark, it can in many cases pay to invest a little more in the insulation when ordering - in order to save on the electricity bill for the entire life of the room. Let us possibly make an offer for several cold rooms, with different insulation thicknesses.
The vast majority of the cold rooms we sell are delivered with a monoblock compressor. This means that the entire cooling unit comes together and in principle just needs to be connected to the socket to cool. The disadvantage is that the noise and the heat it produces stays in the room where the cold room itself is located. Is it a small room or is it very hot, one should consider whether this is the right solution. The alternative to this is a SPLIT compressor, where a unit is located inside the cooling room itself, but the compressor and heat-generating units are pulled away, typically on the wall, on the roof or in another large room in the building.
Do you need a new cold room, but you don't want to pay the full price? Then you have the option of buying a cold room in used condition. There is a lot of money to be saved by buying used cold rooms. We always thoroughly test our equipment, so there is nothing to be nervous about when buying a used cold room. A cold room in used condition works just as well as a new one, so why not go for recycling and give life to something that has served its duty with one of your colleagues in the HoReCa sector. You get something that works without having to pay full price. Isn't that a tempting offer? We always have fast delivery on used cold rooms, as we always have them in our warehouse, which also makes it possible to give you day-to-day delivery.
Do you have a cold room that you no longer want to own? Then you have the opportunity to sell it to us. We buy used commercial kitchen equipment home if it no longer has a purpose for the restaurant, and this therefore also includes a used cold room. If you are interested in getting rid of this, do not hesitate to contact us by email or phone. Then we will find a good price together.
Freezer Rooms
A frost room has many similarities with the cold room in relation to installation, construction, etc. Of course, the temperature is much lower in a freezing room and that given some parameters that get a little different.
For example. we do not recommend that you buy a freezer with an insulation thickness of less than 80 mm, because the cold loss will then be too great. At the same time, it is not possible to get a freezer without a floor without special measures being taken. Think especially about it if you need to have cold rooms and freezers to stand next to each other. If you choose with and without floor, the heights of the rooms will be different on the outside.
Another difference is that the need for a pressure equalization valve increases so that no negative pressure is formed (the door binds) in the room. In addition, there must be heating wire in the rubber strip on the door so that it does not freeze to the door frame.
A freezer can also be supplied with either monoblock or split compressor, as explained above.
